Today was the tour of Historic Homes by the 3rd Graders from Mayflower. It was fun to hear their cute questions and have them be so interested in things around here. Dad was sweet to pull all the historic things out. I found a cook book cover that I had never seen before - I am going to start displaying and or using it!!! I LOVE IT!!! Sometimes you need someone else in your house to realize how very special it is. Thanks Dad for having us live in such a cool house (and for that gorgeous backyard). Thanks girls for helping getting things ship shape sharp.

And Mom was specularly fun tour guide. She pulled the mink out of the tin to make the kids jump and Mary's old dentures out of the container and showed the kids the "Young McDonald Had A Farm" book etc... etc... etc...
ReplyDeleteDad, I just read your comment to Katie and she said "he didn't say anything about the Pez, that is usually the kids' favorite room." Mom did you tell them about the history of the Pez collection? Mom it was fun to be able to talk to you today. It sounds like you are an annual third grade treat.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love our house. Dad and mom thank you so much for buying that old green home. Thanks for all the work you put into making it such a wonderful place to grow up and the best place to come back to. I love 336 North Ivy Ave.
