Dad's Work Is Never Done!

A couple of days before Robb's Open House we had some fierce winds that tore the creeping fig from our back wall. The girls and I managed to help dad get it back up (I'll be interested in seeing that in the "Replay of Life") and dad put bricks on top of the wall to keep the plant in place until after the open house. Today was the day to trim it back since it will never really re-attach to the wall. That is a whole lot of work (thus a picture of the garbage cans) and whole lot of time with a pink wall in the back yard until it grows back. It did help that it was 80 degrees and an absolutely beautiful day. Thanks Dad!!!

  1. Yes, our nice backyard, years in preparation, made it thru the festivities of 2 weddings. A few days before Robb's the big holiday wind tried to spoil things and now it is time for the damage toll to be taken. I am thinking that there is not much of a possibility for another round of wedding festivities for a year or two or three, by which time the ivy on the wall will hopefully have a good run at getting filled back in.

  2. I had to tell Dallin of my fond memories with those BROWN trash cans. I remember dragging them up and down the driveway but I fully admitt that there are some members of the family who have dragged them many more times then I have.
