A bicycle built for 2!!!

I surprised Marybeth today with a tandem bike that I rented for the day from BYU. I was so excited. You had to reserve it early in the week in order to get it for the weekend. So I did just that and hoped for great weather and it couldn't have been a better day. So I showed up on her door step with the Bike.

She was very surprised and excited and we took it out right away to cruise the town. It can be a little tough to ride but we got it down very quickly.

We wanted to take a picture of us, the usual "Marybeth and Robbie" picture but that would not get the whole bike plus us in it. So Marybeth came up with the idea of taking it this way and it looks very good. We just got back from Smiths where we made some purchases for our days adventures.

So after we biked around town we got ready for 7 peaks and biked to our favorite place, As you can see in the back ground there are so many people having fun, it almost made me want to buy one so I could always ride there.

I prepared a very light lunch: 4 pp&j's some Lays Stax (that look like pringles) and some fruit. It was another great day at 7 peaks. We had a few other passport holders joins at the peaks. We had a great time.

And no blog is complete without a "Marybeth and Robbie" picture. We had so much fun, and afterwards we changed and biked all around town, we got a lot of comments, compliments and stares. We were the talk of the town. It will be interesting to see how tired and sore we are tomorrow, but we sure had fun today.

  1. That is such an original, but completely thrilling-looking activity. With some of the heat we have been experiencing here, it makes me want to go to a place such as 7 peaks to cool off.

  3. Thanks for sharing Robb. My dad came home with a tandem bike when I was a little girl - but not a rental. We have lots of memories of that double bike.
